“We will never be deprived of good from a Lord who smiles.”

How can we give up hope when we have a Lord who smiles?

Allah’s name Al Lateef

“Should not He Who has created know? And He is Al-Lateef (The Subtle in His kindness and knowledge), All-Aware.”

‎أَلَا يَعْلَمُ مَنْ خَلَقَ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيفُ الْخَبِيرُ ‎

What it’s like to be loved by Allah...

إنَّ اللَّهَ إذا أحَبَّ عَبْدًا دَعا جِبْرِيلَ فقالَ: إنِّي أُحِبُّ فُلانًا فأحِبَّهُ، قالَ: فيُحِبُّهُ جِبْرِيلُ، ثُمَّ يُنادِي في السَّماءِ فيَقولُ: إنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ فُلانًا فأحِبُّوهُ، فيُحِبُّهُ أهْلُ السَّماءِ، قالَ ثُمَّ يُوضَعُ له القَبُولُ في الأرْضِ

‘...Indeed our Lord is the Most Forgiving and Appreciative.’

Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, wrote a beautiful and poetic praise of Allah’s attributes of forgiveness and appreciation towards His servants. He wrote:
