Purity is Half of Faith

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said:

الطَّهُورُ شَطْرُ الْإِيمَانِ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ تَمْلَأُ الْمِيزَانَ، وَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ تَمْلَآنِ -أَوْ: تَمْلَأُ- مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ، وَالصَّلَاةُ نُورٌ، وَالصَّدَقَةُ بُرْهَانٌ، وَالصَّبْرُ ضِيَاءٌ، وَالْقُرْآنُ حُجَّةٌ لَك أَوْ عَلَيْك، كُلُّ النَّاسِ يَغْدُو، فَبَائِعٌ نَفْسَهُ فَمُعْتِقُهَا أَوْ مُوبِقُهَا

🌷Purity is half of iman (faith),

🌷(The reward of saying) alhamdulillah fills the scales,

🌷subhanAllah and alhamdulillah fill that which is between the heavens and earth,

🌷the prayer is a light,

🌷charity is a proof (of one’s iman),

🌷patience is an illumination,

🌷and the Qur’an is a proof either for or against you.

🌷Every person set out early in the day and sells themselves (with their actions); either setting themselves free or destroying themselves.”

(Sahih Muslim)
